iScream Überblick
iScream ist eine Freeware-Anwendung für Mac OS X. Sie wurde entwickelt, um Audio einfach von Mikrofon, Line-In oder einem anderen Eingabegerät aufzunehmen und im MP3-, AAC- oder WAV-Format zu speichern. Die Hauptidee dieser Anwendung ist es, im Dock zu sitzen und auf einen Klick zu warten. Klicken Sie einfach auf das Dock-Symbol, um die Aufnahme zu starten. Um die Aufnahme zu stoppen, klicken Sie erneut auf das Dock-Symbol. Es ist also gut für Sprachaufnahmen, Sprachnotizen und andere Sprachaufnahme-Dinge.

It's back! This is another free fun app from MEDIA HUMAN. Be sure to checkout their website for the rest of their apps. I HIGHLY recommend their YouTube Downloader app, $20, which is brilliant. You're unlikely to find it here at MU because of its function.

Essentially ABANDONWARE. It was released in 2013, never updated and is 32-bit ONLY. It therefore only runs on versions of macOS with 32-bit compatibility. IOW it is inert on macOS 10.15 Catalina and above. You can of course get it to work in an emulator running a lower version of macOS.

This app looks promising, but I couldn't get it to recognize my external microphone or headset. I also found no way to listen to what I just recorded, without going outside the program.

I love iScream! It's much faster to record audio than the tedious process of doing it though QuickTime. I have to say, though, that even though it allows for discrete recording of your surroundings, it's not exactly a "spy" application; the icon could be slightly more discrete, and so could the growl-type notification that the recording has started... love it anyways
